Transformation of sentences

Sentence এর অর্থ অপরিবর্তিত রেখে Sentence টির পরিবর্তন সাধনকে Transformation of Sentence বলে। Transformation of Sentence-এর মাধ্যমে Sentence এর অর্থের পরিবর্তন হয় না, গুধুমাত্র Sentence এর Structure বা কাঠামোগত পরিবর্তন ঘটে। Sentence এর এরূপ পরিবর্তনের ফলে ভাষায় প্রকাশভঙ্গি শ্রুতিমধুর হয়। ইহা মনের ভাবকে বিভিন্নভাবে প্রকাশ করতে সহায়তা করে।

Conversion of Sentence থেকে Transformation of Sentence এর পার্থক্য হলো- Conversion of Sentence-এ Sentence এর গঠন প্রকৃতির পরিবর্তনের সাথে সাথে অর্থেরও পরিবর্তন ঘটে। আর Transformation of Sentence এ অর্থের পরিবর্তন ঘটে না।

প্রদত্ত Sentence Conversion                      Transformation

The man is rich.         The man is not rich.              The man is not poor.

He is an old man        He is not an old man.             He is not a young man.

The boy is lazy.          The boy is not Lazy.               The boy is not Active.

The man is kind.        The man is not kind.             The man is not unkind.

সাধারণত নিম্নোলিখিত Sentence সমূহের পারস্পরিক রূপান্তর হয়ে থাকে।

• Affirmative ও Negative sentence এর পারস্পরিক রূপান্তর।

• Assertive, Interrogative, Imperative, Optative ও Exclamatory sentence এর পারস্পরিক রূপান্তর।

• Active ও Passive voice এর পারস্পরিক রূপান্তর।

• Direct ও Indirect speech এর পারস্পরিক রূপান্তর।

• Simple, Complex ও Compound sentence এর পারস্পরিক রূপান্তর।

• Positive, Comparative Superlative degree-র এর পারস্পরিক রূপান্তর।

নিম্নে Affirmative, Negative, Interrogative ও Simple, complex, Compound ও Positive, Comparative, Superlative degree-র পারস্পরিক রূপান্তর বর্ণ্না করা হলো।

Affirmative to Negative

Rule-1: By changing affirmative words into Negative and Negative words into affirmative. নিম্নে কতিপয় Affirmative words-এর Negative রূপ দেয়া হলোঃ

all                    –           none                –           bad                  –           not good

everybody      –           nobody           –           only/alone      –           none but/nothing but

cruel                –           not kind          –           everyone         –           none

innocent         –           not guilty        –           just                  –           not unjust

love                 –           not hate           –           rich                 –           not poor

sure                 –           not doubtful   –           sweet               –           not sour

a little              –           not much        –           much               –           not a little

Example:

Affir: I have few friends.                                Neg: I do not have many friends.

Affir: I need much money.                             Neg: I do not need a little money.

Rule-2: Affirmative sentence এ ব্যবহূত only বা alone যদি সৃষ্টিকর্তা বা কোন ব্যক্তিবাচক Noun কে qualify করে সেক্ষেত্রে Negative sentence এ only বা alone এর পরিবর্তে none but ব্যবহূত হয়।
