Concept of Adverbs and Adverbials
Verb কে কখন ,কোথা্য় , কিভাবে, কেন এগুলো দিয়ে প্রশ্ন করলে যদি একটি Word পাওয়া গেলে তাকে Adverb বলে।
একাধিক Word পাওয়া গেলে তাকে Adverbial Phrase বলে।
Sentence পাওয়া গেলে তাকে Adverbial Clause বলে।

প্রথমে যানতে হবে-
Adverb:- A single word that acts as an adverb and modifies verbs, adjectives and other adverbs.

Runa sang sweetly (Verb কে Modify করছে) Verb কে (কেমনভাবে গান গেয়েছিল)

Runa is very beautiful (Adjective কে Modify করছে) (কেমন সুন্দর)
Adverbial- It can be a word phrase, clause that function as adverbs.
Example:

Rakib sang sweetly in the town hall last evening
কিভাবে গেয়েছি?
কোথায় গান গেয়েছিল?
কখন গান গেয়েছিল?

She came have yesterday. (কখন এসেছিল)

We reached there after the sunset (কখন পৌছে ছিলাম)

** All adverbs can be adverbials but all adverbials can’t be adverbs.

বেশিরভাগ Adverb এর শেষে ly যুক্ত থাকে।
Example: Clearly, Quickly, Slowly, Nicely, Beautifully etc.
কিন্তু কতগুলো এর ব্যতিত্রম যেমনঃ Now, than, before, since, ago, already, always, seldom ofter, once, twice, thrice, late yesterday, today, tomorrow, daily.
** Adverbial যখন Single Adverb word হয়, তখন আমরা তাকে Adverbial না বলে Adverb বলে থাকি। কিন্তু Adverbial যখন phrase আর clause হয়ে থাকে তাকে Adverbials বলে থাকি।

Adverb এবং Adverbial কে চেনার উপায় Verb কে=> how, where, why, when, how much(কতটা), how often(কতবার) দিয়ে প্রশ্ন করতে হবে।
Types of Adverbials:

Position of Adverbials:

Intransitive verb এর পরে

The train arrived late

The tortoise walks slowly

Transitive verb থাকলে object এর পরে বসে।

Adverb of frequency (how often) main verb এর পূর্বে বসে।

এরূপ Adverb গুলো হলঃ always, often, never, seldom really, usually, genenally sometime, frequently.

জোরের সঙ্গে কিছু বলার জন্য Adverbial বাক্যের প্রথমে বসে।
